Dr. Shawn Bladel
Dr. Shawn Bladel was born and raised in the Quad Cities. Being an athlete in multiple sports, Dr. Bladel went on to compete in track, tennis and soccer in college as well as trained at the semi-professional soccer level. Upon graduating with his bachelor’s degree from Mount Saint Clare College in Clinton, IA in 1995 Dr. Bladel and his wife Heather started their family, before he went on to complete his Doctorate degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2006. Dr. Bladel opened and built one of the largest and fastest growing Natural Health Clinics in the country. Through his passion for helping others live outstandingly healthy lifestyles, Dr. Shawn has been an integral part of helping countless families, including caring for women and children at the homeless shelter and helping to serve on the board of the Salvation Army, in Danville, Illinois where he started his first clinic.
Over the past 11 years Dr. Bladel has had the opportunity to help train and care for the Danville Demolition Arena Football team as well as players on the Bloomington Edge Arena Football team, serve as physician for the Cross-fit Regional Games, and now as the Allstar Cheer Academy conditioning coach and physician in Rockford, Il.
As much as Dr. Bladel enjoys working with athletes, his practice approach took an incredible turn when his oldest daughter became suddenly ill several years ago. After visiting the top specialists at multiple hospitals across the country and finding no real solutions except for labels and medications for life, Dr. Bladel took it upon himself to find a different approach for his daughter. That search led him to become a part of the Wellness Way where he now combines chiropractic and rehabilitative care with functional medicine. After acquiring the knowledge and ability to perform specific blood work, toxicity testing and nutritional work, and finding the cause of his daughter’s health problems, he was able to help her body begin to heal after 7 years with no results in the traditional allopathic model. Today, Dr. Bladel focuses his care on not only chiropractic, but food allergy, GI and immune system health, testing for hormonal imbalances, toxicity testing including mold and Lyme disease, autoimmune and infertility. Because of this specialty, Dr. Bladel is now helping people from all over the country regain control of their health.
Dr. Bladel is very passionate about his faith, his wife Heather of 18 years, and their 6 children. When Dr. Bladel is not in the office, you will find him chasing his 6 children around with his wife, and enjoying all that they have created together.
